Closures and seals

As with our pencil tubes, you also have the choice of our closures and seals.

If you need a special closure, e.g. for a glass jar, please contact us. For example, we can develop and produce different screw caps and closures made of bio-based materials for jars and cans.

Our bio-based closures for jars or pots contain a wide variety of bio-polymers, such as cellulose, lignin, natural resins, natural waxes and natural oils, biological additives and natural reinforcing fibers.

With this innovation we offer sustainable and high-quality alternatives to conventional mineral oil based plastic products.

In principle, we can produce all closure shapes and sizes that can be produced by injection moulding.

Biodegradable liner

Our liner is an additional "sealing layer" that is placed on the inside of the lid. It provides improved functionality and a better longer stability time for the product. While our material already has good oxygen barrier properties, adding the liner further protects the products inside the jars. It prevents leakage, provides an additional barrier e.g. against moisture loss, for flavors and active ingredients, reduces oxygen penetration and thus extends shelf life.

The liner is suitable for oil- and waterbased as well as for dry products.

Our liner is flexible and can be mechanically placed inside the lid. No adhesives or other additional glues are needed. It is fully biodegradable and free of microplastics and BPA (bisphenol A).

The thickness of the liner is 0.8 mm or 1.2 mm, depending on the size of the respective jar.
